It is October in Asheville, NC. It is peak leaf season; It is peak tourist/traveler season; According to retail, it is time for the holiday shopping season. Everyone has mixed emotions (and an opinion) about moving beyond Summer, rushing out the Fall, and racing into the holiday shopping season as a retailer. This year is no different.

My grandmother (Memaw) loved Christmas time. She was an artist, creative, and loved a celebration. She would have LOVED the 12 foot tree that we have on display this year at our West Asheville shop. It is rustic and elegant all-in-one. This tree has a story to tell. This tree is a symbol of adventure, nature, and gathering.

Through the mixed-emotions of setting up our Holiday decor in October, Heather and I found ourselves yearning for the celebrations to come. We love to gather with family. We love a great laugh, a great drink and a neighborly chat by the fire. We love to welcome you into our shop to celebrate your story, your triumphs, and your travel. We look forward to gathering again this holiday season and celebrating this life we have all been given.

As we finished setting up the shops, I got excited. There is a beauty inside the shop that is palpable. The celebrations are coming.
